Matthew, Weston and Nathan are first year medical students with a passion for community health and biking. Along with Daphne, a first year Veterinary student, the 4 companions will embark on a five-week trip through 1,000 miles of rural Oregon wonder. Along the way they will be working in conjunction with the Oregon Academy of Family Physicians to facilitate community discussions on improving local healthcare options. See our photo album
After growing up in rural Virginia, Daphne lived in and visited many places within and outside the US and now calls Oregon her home. She completed her bachelor degree in Spanish at Colorado Colleges and is currently a first-year veterinary student at Oregon State University. Although she is interested in many kinds of veterinary medicine, her latest life goal is to have an ambulatory large animal practice focusing mainly in llamas and alpacas... fueled by cargo bike. Daphne is particularly excited to spend all summer riding around Oregon, getting to know the state, the people and her future colleagues.
